Who We Are
Started over 15 years ago, The University of Texas at San Antonio’s Investment Society was formed to bridge the gap between the classroom and the office. The Investment Society provides students with the opportunity to further their industry knowledge, expand their professional network, and pursue a career in high finance. As the premier finance organization on campus, our community includes the brightest finance students and alumni across a wide range of sectors in the financial services industry.

Meetings
Wednesday night meetings allow members to learn about finance concepts, catch-up on market news and network with fellow members.
Professional Development
Members can take advantage of the unparalleled recruiting opportunities through workshops, alumni mentorship, and events. Investment Society members have gone on to join the top firms in the world in banking and private equity.
Investing With Purpose
Members use industry standard market data to conduct research and develop trading ideas for our student-managed investment portfolio. The proceeds of our student-managed portfolio are used to fund micro loans for a rural community in Costa Rica.
Membership

Members will have exclusive access to our speakers, workshops, competitions, company recruiting events, networking nights, mentorship opportunities, social events, community service, executive board leadership roles, and a vast network of students and alumni. Many Investment Society members have secured internships and full-time roles in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, wealth management, corporate finance, startups, accounting, and more.

All UTSA students (undergraduate and graduate) are eligible to join.

Although meetings are open to all students throughout the semester, membership dues of $25 for the semester or $40 for the year must be paid to our treasurer before the third meeting of the semester.
After paying the dues you’ll be an official member of The Investment Society and will gain access to the many exclusive scholarships, events, and professional trips.
