Join us Thursday November 2nd @ 6:00pm CST in an exciting panel discussion on Women in Finance. You’ll hear from 3 incredible Investment Society and UTSA Alumni - Diana Cuervo, Gabriela Martinez Elizondo, and Stephany Ohaz. Our panelists will be sharing their journeys into finance, their experiences as women in finance, advice for women and students interested in breaking into finance, and their thoughts on the future of the financial services industry. This panel is a fantastic opportunity to connect with female leaders, ask questions, and learn more about the financial industry. All are encouraged to attend!

Meet Our Moderator

Rachel Boyda

Rachel Boyda is a Financial Advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors whose focus is delivering the highest quality investment experience and advice to families, investors, and business owners to plan and execute a path to a successful financial future.

 

Rachel graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and started her career as a Registered Client Associate at Morgan Stanley. After years’ experience she joined Wells Fargo Advisors as a Financial Advisor. Since joining, she has obtained the designation of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®. Rachel currently serves on The University of Texas at San Antonio Alvarez College of Business Alumni Council as President and is also a member of the Dallas Young Professional group under the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce.

 

Meet Our Panelists

Diana Cuervo

Diana Cuervo is a Portfolio Manager at Blackstone, managing $100B of AUM for Insurance Clients, focused on asset allocation and portfolio management.

Before joining Blackstone, Ms. Cuervo was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs Asset Management working as a portfolio manager in NYC. She also worked as a structured product trader, junior portfolio manager, and research analyst in London, NY, and Salt Lake City in prior years while at GS.

Ms. Cuervo graduated summa cum laude with a Masters and a Bachelors degree in Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio and is originally from Bogota, Colombia.

Stephany Ohaz

Stephany is an Associate in the Sustainable Investing Group where she invests under the inclusive Growth Fund, a global growth equity / private equity strategy that seeks to invest in education, workforce development, healthcare, financial services, and communities with the goal to improve the access, affordability, and outcomes for the underserved population alongside delivering market rate returns.

She began her career in the Global Banking and Markets division in 2019 and subsequently held roles within Goldman’s Sustainability and Impact platforms such as One Million Black Women. 

Stephany earned a B.B.A. and B.Sc from the University of Texas – San Antonio.

Gabriela Martinez Elizondo

Gaby Martinez graduated from UTSA in 2014 with a Bachelor’s in Finance. After graduating, she joined the Risk Division at Goldman Sachs where she is currently part of the Analytics and Reporting team focusing on Market Risk.
